To be honest, it's not complicated at all, thanks to the software I use that incorporates AI technology. This software has made my work much easier and efficient. Overall, the integration of AI in this software has been a game-changer for me.
When it comes to citing sources, there are several citation styles available, but the most commonly used ones are APA and MLA. APA (American Psychological Association) is often used in social sciences, while MLA (Modern Language Association) is commonly used in humanities. These citation styles have specific guidelines for formatting and referencing sources, which can be quite complex. However, the good news is that there are many tools available to help you with this task. In fact, the app I am using supports both APA and MLA, which makes it easier for you to create accurate citations.
There are several bibliographic reference formats, including:
1. APA (American Psychological Association)
2. MLA (Modern Language Association)
3. Chicago/Turabian
4. Harvard
5. Vancouver
6. IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
7. ACS (American Chemical Society)
8. AMA (American Medical Association)
9. CSE (Council of Science Editors)
For my purposes, more elaborate formats are not needed, but I am looking forward to having the functionality to export the bibliography used as a BibTeX file. This could help me to process drafts further in my LaTeX workflow. This is on the list of features for version 1.1.
The process itself is simple. I just search for the book or article being used, and either drag the quotes found automatically or insert the quote manually and link it to the source. That's it. I will have all bibliographic records on the Preview tab, ready for use.
Despite the numerous benefits of using OpenAI API, there are still some limitations that users may encounter. One of these limitations is the lack of information beyond September 2021, which means that the latest literature is currently out of reach. This can be a significant drawback for researchers and professionals who rely on up-to-date information to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
Anyway, the ability to work with literature, keep references, and work with ChatGPT in the context of the book is cool enough!
