The latest version of our software comes with a host of improvements and bug fixes that are designed to enhance the user experience and improve the overall functionality of the software. In this change log, we will highlight the key changes that have been made to the software, including new features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements. Whether you are a new user or a long-time customer, we believe that these changes will make your experience with our software even better. So, without further ado, let's dive into the details of the latest version of our software.
New features
As always, all the changes provide you with non-destructive suggestions, so your text remains intact until you choose to apply the suggested changes.
1. You can ask AI to enrich the text
The text will be enriched with more context and examples if possible, by drawing from existing ideas and expanding upon them. For instance, if the original text discusses the importance of exercise for physical health, we could provide additional information on the benefits of different types of exercise, such as strength training or yoga. We could also explore the psychological benefits of exercise, such as improved mood and reduced stress levels. By building upon existing ideas, we can provide a more comprehensive and informative piece of writing.
The feature is available with a context menu for a particular block of text.
2. Check for fallacies
Tema is designed to help you identify and correct logical fallacies in your writing. By simply requesting a check, the system will analyze your text and provide feedback on any potential fallacies that may be present. This can be incredibly helpful for anyone looking to improve the clarity and effectiveness of their writing.
The feature is available in edit mode for the whole document or by using the context menu for a particular block.
3. The system provides you with page numbers for Quotes whenever possible
You can turn on or off the feature in Tema Editor settings.
4. Word and character count
Now you can see the word and character count right on the header bar, or not, if you turn it off in the settings.
5. Export options
Tema Editor does not offer export options as files (yet). However, you can copy the draft in several formats, including Markdown, LaTeX, and plain text, using the menu button on the Preview tab.
You can copy BibTeX records from the same menu if you need them for your LaTeX workflow.
Of course, you can always select formatted text and copy it to any other Rich Text editor of your choice.
Bug fixes
There are a few bug fixes and fine-tuning under the hood. The most visible fix is probably the fix with the activity indicator that did not show anything for some ongoing operations, like 'Find by topic' on the Research tab.
