Tema-Editor 1.3

New Tema, new wonders 🎉. 1.3 is almost here.

Features

  • Extended context window. Chat now recalls all related messages despite of the length of communication. Tema never forgets what you were talking about with the bot. Use it for research and never stop digging deeper.

Improvements

  • Buttons' position has changed to reflect general trends in AI chat platforms. 
    • Delete, Copy to Draft and Copy to clipboard buttons now are always displayed in the lower right corner of the message.
  • Scrolling in chat window is optimised to move you through huge number of messages you can afford to keep and use as context for requests.

Bug-fixes

  • Moving blocks in the Draft view is fixed to be more reliable.
    • It's easy to drag the blocks. Just click and hold at any place of the block including empty space and button area and drag to desired position.
    • On-hover highlight is removed, it had little-to-none practical value.
    • Text area cannot be used for move since you can drag the text separately. It's confusing, but we cannot take out the feature without users' consent. Please comment if you would prefer to have drag enabled for text.

Implications

  • File size for the same chat increased. The file holds the embeddings  used for presenting context to OpenAI.
  • This background change will enable further developments, that are listed in the Roadmap for 2023.
  • All the changes does not require you to upgrade file format, they are backward compatible with previous versions.

Note

You should always remember that Tema-Editor has Un-do functionality, therefore you can roll-back your actions.

What's new in Tema-Editor 1.5.2

New features - Copy as HTML. Now you can copy the draft as HTML on the Preview tab. Improvements - In case user fills the metadata for attachment, those data are used when referencing in preview and export. Small things - Draft block turns to Quote style when reference to attachment is added. - We have switched embedding retrieval to new model from Open AI - text-embedding-3-small. Bug fixes - Empty details for attachment on Research tab unless user edits the metadata.

What is in 1.5.1

Release 1.5.1 is small and it focused on bug fixes and small improvements to ensure your experience is smooth. Improvements When the user fills in the metadata for an attachment, that data is utilized when referencing in the preview and export. Small things When a reference to an attachment is added, the draft block turns into a quote style. Bug fixes The details for the attachment on the Research tab will remain empty unless the user edits the metadata. End of the year message There are plenty of things you can do with Tema, but you might not know how to do them. We'll work on fixing that after the holidays.
